Positive electrode solvent: N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP)

Type: Colorless or light yellow liquid
Features: The positive electrode solvent N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) is an efficient and selective chemical solvent. It has good chemical stability and thermal stability, low volatility, and is soluble in various organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, esters, and aromatic hydrocarbons. It also possesses the advantages of high boiling point, non-flammability, safe usage, and suitability for multiple formulation applications. It is suitable for the research and production of lithium-ion battery positive electrodes and the preparation of carbon nanotube (CNT) conductive pastes, among other fields.
Description

Polarity: NMP is a highly polar non-polar solvent with excellent solubility.

Chemical stability: In neutral solutions, NMP can remain stable for a long time and is not prone to chemical reactions. However, in strong acid and strong base environments, NMP will gradually undergo hydrolysis reactions.

Thermal stability: The thermal decomposition temperature of NMP is as high as 350℃, allowing it to remain stable in high-temperature environments.

Viscosity: NMP has a low viscosity and exhibits good fluidity in solutions, enabling it to quickly mix uniformly with other substances.

Hygroscopicity: NMP has strong hygroscopicity and can absorb moisture from the air.
