Ternary material(NCM)

Type: Power, energy storage, and high‑rate grades
Features: High energy density, excellent stability, long cycle life, good low‑temperature performance, and outstanding processability. Designed for R&D and production of lithium‑ion cells for power and energy storage applications.
Description

High energy density

Ternary materials offer a high voltage plateau (3.6‑3.8 V) and significantly higher specific capacity compared to LFP, meeting the range requirements of electric vehicles.

High nickel trend: Materials such as NCM811 and NCA (with Ni content ≥ 80 %) deliver more than 25 % higher energy density than conventional cathode materials.

Outstanding electrochemical performance

Cycling performance: Small particle size design shortens the Li‑ion diffusion path, enabling fast charging (e.g., discharge rates of 2C and higher).

Low‑temperature performance: Capacity retention at −20 °C exceeds 80 %, compared to approximately 60 % for LFP.

Structural stability optimization

Single‑crystal technology: Single‑crystal particles are synthesized via molten‑salt‑assisted sintering, mitigating particle cracking under high voltage and extending cycle life.

Surface coating: Coatings with oxides such as Al₂O₃ and ZrO₂ suppress transition‑metal dissolution, reduce gas evolution, and enhance thermal stability.
